Crystal Beach is a beautiful and quaint community which includes both cottages and permanent residences. The gorgeous Bay Beach is the main draw to Crystal Beach and in 2019, was updated to include bathroom/shower facilities, shaded pavilion and a fun park for kids and families to enjoy.
There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance to choose from, as well as coffee and ice cream shops.
Niagara Region
The Niagara peninsula has many activities to explore and keep our guests entertained while not at the beach. We are a short drive from Buffalo, New York, Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our local activities include historic old Fort Erie, Safari Niagara, Fort Erie Racetrack, weekend farmers market, the shops of Ridgeway, and Point Abino Lighthouse tours.
25 min away is Niagara Falls where one can get close to this wonder of the world! Niagara Falls offers activities at the busy Clifton Hill at the falls, Fallsview Casino Resort, waterparks, river boat cruises to the base of the falls, bird kingdom, zip lining, wild play Niagara (obstacle course at height), floral clock and gardens, butterflies, hiking in the gorge, helicopter tours, aero car rides over the river, outlet shopping and golf courses.
35 min away in historic Niagara-on-the-Lake where many, many shops can be found including Cows ice cream! You’ll also find the award winning Shaw theatre, old Fort George, horse carriage rides, golfing and many wineries to tour and dine including Wayne Gretzky’s (whiskey room for the guys as well).
Day trips to Toronto by car take approx. 1.5 hours. There you will find Canada’s boys of summer, the Toronto Blue Jays, Ripley’s aquarium, the Ontario Science Centre, Medieval Times dinner and tournament and a short drive away is the thrilling Canada’s Wonderland.
Getting around
To enjoy your stay, most things are within walking distance.
If you bring bikes, just riding through the quaint streets looking at cottages and meeting new friends is fun. Close by is the Friendship Trail which runs for many miles in all directions.
If you have a car, you can visit nearby Niagara Falls or Buffalo. There is also public transit that stops in front of the beach.
